Oh my Cooper! February 10, 2011
Funny Story:
So coop had a pre op appointment today for his surgery to fix his friggin tooth. He has to have a full physical before he can go in for surgery. The doctor was feeling his belly during the exam and he was giggling cuz it tickled. Of course she has to has to do a COMPLETE exam. He laughed about it and said “she’s checkin my weino” *insert more Cooper laughs. I said yeah buddy she’s got to check your weiner. So she’s feeling and feeling forever to find the second testicle…. Well
Cooper looks at me and said, “Awkward”
He’s been saying everything is awkward lately, and he just stops and gets this goofy face and says in a high pitched voice, “awkward”
I almost DIED! Literally didn’t know how to compose myself!
Well then I always have to agree with him and say “yeah cooper that’s awkward” I usually say it just to acknowledge to him that I was listening, but he’s started demanding that I agree with him… no matter what. So I agreed with him at the dr and said, “yeah coop… i imagine that was a little awkward”
I’m still laughing about it!

Last year I spent hours and hours designing the “perfect” Christmas card. I was SO excited when it was finished… my first year with our complete family. The card HAD to be perfect, it was the first pictures we sent out of our newest addition. Once I received the cards fromI realized that while I was making these “perfect” cards, I had slipped with the mouse and changed the size that these cards would be printed, which ended up making all of my cards blurry and grainy. Such.a.disappointment! Totally innocent mistake, but this year… I went to Shutterfly. I knew the quality would be good because I’ve ordered the photo books for each of my kids and I’m super happy with them! But easy? I’ve never had a Christmas photo card experience this easy before!

…and wallah! Christmas cards made simple. Now I have more time to make special personalized notes in each one. I just love this time of year!
I think I’m going to order up a desk calendar too, because let’s face it, I have four kids and need all the help staying organized I can get! (um, and if I can put some super cute pictures all over it, seems like the perfect combination!

Just an average Saturday morning:) October 10, 2010
So I’m getting Coop dressed yesterday…. and I smell poop. Super mom nose is smelling all over the place trying to figure out what it’s smeared on or hidden under when Ava says “Quinton pooped and took off his diaper” Fabulous! *Insert Mom running before the mess is unfixable!* I tossed the boy in the tub, got all the mess cleaned up, and proceeded to wash my hands. I looked in the mirror to find POO smeared on my cheek! What a start to another average saturday! Thanks Q!
Homemade? October 10, 2010
I was making dinner friday night and Miss Ava was watching me make instant mashed potatoes. *I know. I’m hanging my head in shame* And she said to me “Homemade mashed potatoes? I’ve never seen you make homemade mashed potatoes like that!” I giggled at first because I thought “how much more instant does it get?” But then I realized that it was because she was used to seeing me make real mashed potatoes! Whew! I guess I get to keep my mom card for a while yet:)

Fabulous Summer Time! May 26, 2010
I’ve been wanting to make a blog post… like a real blog post… something more than a text about something funny the kids have said. After thinking about it for a while, and because school is done so soon, I’ve decided it’s time for a summer post! Last year at the end of summer, the kids and I made an end of summer to do list.
*spend some evenings on the deck… or even the new patio if we get it started.
* finish a 5K
* do a free photo shoot for a family with an amazing story
* really concentrate on my last summer with Ella before she starts *gasp* school!
* catch fireflies and bring the jar to bed with the kids to watch
* spend a day at the water park with the kids
* CAMP!
* catch at least 10 amazing photos
